Hello everyone! My name is Ethan Milne. I’m from Sheridan, Wyoming, and I’m going to be doing a year of service in New York City starting in about 3 weeks. I’ve never written a blog before, but I’m excited to use this format to share all the cool things I’m doing in the coming months.
For the next two weeks or so, I’m in prepping mode – I’ve got lots of stuff to pack and clean, and lots of goodbyes to say too. This is the first time I’ll be living away from my parents, and the close friends that I made while studying at my local community college for my computer science degree.
I’ve been getting a little bit nervous too, mostly I’m hoping that the whole travel sequence goes smoothly. Because of a trip my family is going on, I have to do a lot of flying by myself before arriving slightly late at orientation because of scheduling issues. I know it’ll work out okay, and I’m doing a lot of planning beforehand to help
Right now though, I’m not going to add too many details. Hopefully I’ll be able to post weekly or monthly about the things I’m doing, so I’ll talk to you all later! Peace out,
